OUR CLUBS MISSION

" The Wrentham Sportsmems' Association shall promote the interest of legitimate sports, the rod and gun; to cooperate with other organizations of a like nature to assist in the enforcement of the laws for the protection and propagation of fish, game, song and insectivorous birds; and to stimulate good fellowship among lovers of outdoor life in the vicinity."

THIS YEARS CALANDAR

Game Dinner, March 31st  - Tickets available at bar.

Fisherman’s Night, April 9th - Food, raffles, and trout stocking. All are welcome.  No fishing until opening day.

Opening Day, April 14th -Fishing derby starts at sunrise. Arrive early for breakfast or bring your tent Friday night.

Duck dinner, April 21st

3-D Archery Shoot, April 29th - For more info www.oldbow.com.

Youth Day, May 19thFishing, archery, and shooting instruction. Prizes and free hot dogs. Rain date May 20th.

Softball Game, June 10thFollowed by a cookout at the club. More details to be posted.

Chicken BBQ, June 24th - Food, Entertainment, food, raffles, and food.

3-D Archery Shoot, July 29th  - For more info www.oldbow.com

Pig Roast, Aug, 12th -Similar to the chicken thing but with pig.

Oct 8th Hunter’s Night-Food and raffles. Election of officers for 2002

 

Trap

 

Every Thursday evening, 7-9pm.  Winter league shoots Thursday evenings and Sundays. Times posted at club.

 

3-D Archery Shoots

 

Wednesdays 6pm from April 11th – June 27th and August 1st – October – 3rd . $5. Per week.

 

 

Kitchen

 

Breakfast every Sunday 8-11:30am, Great new menu. Public welcome. All proceeds go to the land acquisition fund.

 

Work Parties

 

Kitchen help every Sunday 6am to 12 noon.

April 28th – 3-D set up.

May 19th – Youth day

Other work parties are posted on the board at the club. 

 

Range

 

The range will be closed on May 19th and 20th for the boy scouts camping on the island and youth day events.

 

Horse Shoe League

 

Some members have expressed an interest in participating in a league but as of yet we don’t have a member to run it.  If you are interested contact the advisory board.

Stoney Brook in Norfolk is open to fishing.  A sticker is required from the State Forest And Parks Dept.  For more info see Bill Newman at the club or Email   nclbill@aol.com
